Lemon Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
4 skinless chicken breast halves
2 Tbsp. margarine
1/4 cup water
3 Tbsp. lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp. chicken soup powder
1 tsp. minced fresh parsley (I used some dried)
Directions:
Combine oregano, salt, and pepper. Rub all of mixture onto chicken. Brown chicken in margarine in skillet over medium-high heat. Transfer to baking pan.
Add water, lemon juice, garlic, and chicken soup powder to skillet. Bring to a boil, loosening any browned bits from skillet with a spatula.
Pour over chicken.
This recipe is from “Fix-It and Forget-It – slow-cooker magic,” but I adapted it for oven cooking:
Cover and bake on 360 degrees (top side of chicken down) for 1 and 1/2 hours. Uncover and sprinkle parsley on top of chicken and baste with sauce from baking pan. Bake covered for another 10-15 mins.

Just made this for supper and it was fantastic! Thank you so much for sharing this delicious recipe with the world.
So glad you liked it!
I just made this for dinner and it was AH-MA-ZING! I added a little bit more of all of the seasoning but that’s just because I like my food super flavorful. Also, I used chicken stock instead of water. This was so tender, juicy, and easy to make!
Bree, glad you loved the recipe! Thanks for letting me know. Love hearing feedback!
What is chicken soup powder, please? Can I use chicken bouillon cube
Yes that would work!
Made this last night with boneless breasts, was amazing. Can’t wait to make it again.
