Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta
This simple yet decadent dish is the perfect way to enjoy a quick pasta meal. Featuring a rich and velvety sauce made with heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and garlic, it’s a crowd-pleasing dish that comes together quickly.
Ingredients:
8 oz penne or farfalle pasta
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
1/4 cup reserved pasta cooking water
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup of the pasta cooking water before draining.
2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant.
3. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
4. Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.
5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the creamy Parmesan sauce. If the sauce seems too thick, gradually add some of the reserved pasta cooking water to thin it out to your desired consistency.
6. Garnish the Creamy Garlic Parmesan Pasta with chopped fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese.
