July 4th American Flag Cheese Danish
Ingredients:
1 package of puff pastry dough, which includes 2 sheets
1 8oz package of cream cheese
1/3 cup of sugar
1 tsp. of vanilla extract
Blueberries
Raspberries
powdered sugar for serving
Glaze:
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 T almond milk
1 t vanilla extract
Directions:
Roll both sheets out. Cut down the middle of both then cut out rectangles (about 6 total for each sheet) Within each rectangle, form a smaller rectangle without slicing all the way through. Combine cream cheese, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Mix well. Place in center of rectangle. Place four blueberries in top corner then place raspberries over the remaining cream cheese mixture, forming an American flag. Bake on 350′ for about 12 minutes or until dough is golden. Allow to cool off before drizzling glaze on top in a circular motion around edges and top with powdered sugar.
