Ralphs Kosher Passover Tour {Review + GIVEAWAY!}
When I first moved to L.A. I was thrilled when the local supermarket, Ralphs, launched a full Kosher section in multiple locations. The new Kosher experience features a bakery and deli section with fresh baked goods, sushi, salads, chicken, meat and other delicacies. I was so excited about the launch that I went and filmed it for the blog. You can watch it HERE! I really enjoy shopping there so when they approached me to be a guest on one of their Passover holiday tours taking place at the Pico location, I was excited for have the opportunity to view their Passover selection for the holiday.
My friend Tiffany joined me for the tour. (I bribed her with a drink from Starbucks) When we arrived we were welcomed with refreshments, drinks and a Ralph’s tote bag (gotta love a free tote bag!) to carry samples and our purchases. Rabbi Alan Kalinsky of OU Kosher lead the tour throughout the store. We received holiday handouts with useful information such as what items need a kosher for Passover symbol, what does not, and my favorite, a page of kosher for Passover substitutions for commonly used items throughout the year (such as how much potato starch to use in place of flour etc)
I was impressed with the large amount of Kosher for Passover items available at Ralphs. They carry everything from dairy products like milk, cream cheese and yogurt to shmura matzah which is not something you would expect to find at a non Kosher supermarket! Other items to be found are wine, spices, coffee, tea, bottled sauces, cookies, chocolate, mayo, dressing, ice cream, frozen chicken nuggets and yes good ol macaroons. (including frozen macaroon dough to bake fresh in your house!)
As you can see from the photos, Ralphs is fully stocked for Passover! To help you with your Passover shopping Ralphs was kind enough to give me a $50 gift card to give away to one lucky reader. To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment below and let me know what you want to buy from Ralphs if you win!

First off, I’m so thankful that I live in a Jewish community and I can grab all the items I need in one convinient store…Ralph’s! Every year I make Matza Ball soup and everyone always asks for seconds. :) I definitely need to start buying my grape juice and Matzah (not to forget CHOCOLATE COVERED MATZAH!). I have to try the frozen macaroons, my grandmother would love it! :)

I would make a Kosher brisket. I was so disappointed when the Ralph’s in Wood Creek, CA closed. They always had the best selection of Jewish Holiday foods,. The store you are touring is unbelievable; have not seen so much Passover food since I was a young girl still living at home in St. Louis.
The winner of the giveaway is Tehila Dayani! Congrats!
